Jason Magnus
President
RFCE / RFCA / Beijing Pop Festival
After graduating from Harvard University and following stints in property and investment banking Jason decided to follow his passion and enter the music industry. Since growing up in the west, he has been exposed from an early age to the joy of rock and pop music culture. He is now based in Hong Kong and Beijing where this art form is still young. This is the fundamental catalyst that sparked his enthusiasm to create a music company in China.
Jason was formally the founder and CEO of Why.com, an internet search engine that was a pioneer in internet rating systems and focused on a ‘people-powered web’. From 1998-2002, he managed Why.com to become one of the most visited search engines in the world. Jason was also the Music Producer on the soundtrack to the 2005 motion picture ‘Thru the Moebius Strip’.
